Natural Habitat :

North-East Atlantic (form the Arctic to the Canary Islands), North-West Atlantic, Mediterranean, Black Sea, Pacific. It is found on the foreshore, the section of the coast between the highest and lowest tides. This area, which remains uncovered during neap-tide, is subjected to terrestrial climatic variations such as rain, sun and temperature changes.

Harvest :

This seaweed is several centimetres high and has an often irregular, wild, curly or crinkled appearance. It is made up of small, flat, hollow green tubes, 1-3cm high and 4-5mm wide.

Components :

An amphibious alga, it is equipped with exceptional exchange properties, since it is able to go without water for more than 14 days without changes to its metabolism. It also has a mechanism that is dependent on respiration, which allows it to defend itself against excess amounts of Sodium Chloride.
